'감또개'의 뜻을 알아볼까요?
감또개는 어감이 예스럽지만 예쁜 말입니다. 
흔하게 사용하지 않는 말이라서 들어 보지 못한 분들이 많을 것 같은데요.
감또개는 '꽃과 함께 떨어져 버린 어린 감'을 의미합니다.

요즘 감나무 농사를 대규모로 짓는 집이 많아졌는데요. 
예전 시골 마당 집에는 어느 집에나 감나무 한두 그루는 있었답니다.
서울에서 손자 손녀가 놀러 오면 익은 감을 따 주고 싶었던 할머니 할아버지의 따뜻한 마음이 감나무를 심고 기르게 했을 겁니다.
늦가을 나뭇잎을 다 떨군 감나무에 매달려 있는 서너 개의 익은 감은 지나가는 까치를 위해서 남겨 둔 것이기도 하고요. 

감나무는 꽃을 피우면서 동시에 열매를 맺기 시작합니다. 
이 때문에 무거워서일까요?
초여름 비바람이라도 불면 감또개들이 우수수 떨어져 마당을 하얗게 뒤덮어요.
아버지는 마당비로 감또개를 깨끗하게 쓸고는 했죠.
그러면서도 아쉬워하지는 않으셨어요. 
자연의 섭리는 섬세하니까요, 감나무 한 그루가 지탱할 수 있을 만큼만 열매를 맺도록 허락하거든요. 

비바람에 떨어지는 것이 감또개의 운명이었던 것이죠.

Although "감또개" sounds old-fashioned, it is a very beautiful word. 
People don't use this word often in a daily life, so I'm sure most of people have not heard of it.  
"감또개" means "a fresh persimmon that fell with a flower."

Nowadays, more and more houses are doing tree farming on a large scale.
Every house in old country had one or two persimmon trees.
Maybe grandma and grandpa planted the trees because they wanted to give ripe persimmons for their grandchildren who came from Seoul. 
Three or four ripe persimmons hanging from the tree that dropped all the leaves in late autumn are for a passing magpie.  
Persimmon trees bloom and begin to bear fruit at the same time.
Is it because it's heavy?
"감또개" fall down and cover the yard white when it's raining in the early windy summer. 
My father used to sweep the "감또개" clean with the yardstick, but he was not disappointed. It is because of the delicate nature's providence, allowing only one persimmon tree to bear fruit enough to support it. It was the fate of 감또개 to fall down because of rain and wind.
