가장 틀리기 쉬운 맞춤법 '며칠, 금세'

오늘은 우리가 정말 자주 사용하면서도 아주 쉽게 틀리는 맞춤법 두 가지를 알아보겠습니다. 

1. "오늘 몇 월 몇 일이지?" 혹시 이렇게 물어본 적이 있으신가요?
'몇일'이라고 쓴 적은 있으신가요? 이것은 틀린 말입니다. 
"오늘 몇 월 며칠이지?"라고 물어야만 맞는 표기법입니다.

몇일 아니고 며칠!
우리 말에 '몇일'은 없습니다!

한국인들도 너무 자주 틀리는 표기로, 흔히들 몇 일로 써버리기 때문에 한국어 사전에 올려야만 하는 것이 아니냐는 논란은 있습니다만, 국립국어원에서는 명확하게 '몇 일'은 옳지 않고 '며칠'이 옳은 표기법이라고 못을 박아 두었습니다. 

 2. 지금 바로, 어느새, 금방을 뜻하는 부사는 '금새'가 아니라 '금세'랍니다!

금세는 '금시+에'의 준말이라고 생각하시면 기억하기 쉬우실 거예요.
'그새'랑 헷갈려서 금새가 옳다고 생각하시는 분이 많으신 걸까요?
그새는 '그 사이'의 준말이기 때문에 '그새'가 맞는 말입니다.

금세/금새도 한국인들이 정말 많이 틀리는 부사지요.
기억해 두었다가 꼭 옳은 표현을 사용하도록 해봅시다.

Spellings that even Koreans easily get wrong. 

Today, we're going to talk about two spellings that we use very often but are very easily wrong.

1. Have you ever asked, "오늘 몇 월 몇 일이지?"
Have you ever written "몇일"? This is wrong.
It's only right when you write like, "오늘 몇 월 며칠이지?"

It's not "몇일", It's "며칠"!
We don't use "몇일" in Korean!

There is a controversy over whether we should acknowledge "몇일" as a right spelling because too many Koreans often use this in daily life, but the National Institute of Korean Language clearly mentioned that "몇일" is wrong and "며칠" is the right notation. 

2. The Korean adverb that means "soon, shortly" is not "금새", it's right to write "금세". 

It will be easy to remember if you think it's an abbreviation of "금시+에".
Maybe a lot of people are confused with "그새", so they might think "금새" is right. 
"그새" is an abbreviation of "그 사이". Don't be confused!

금새/금세 is a confusing spelling that even Korean do a lot of mistakes. 
Let's remember correct spelling and make sure we use the right expression.
